Who pays the fee?

Your call, set per event. Here's what each option looks like for a $50 ticket.

The booking fee is shown to the attendee at checkout. You keep 100% of your listed ticket price.

Ticket price$50.00
Booking fee (4% + 30c)$2.30
Attendee pays$52.30
You receive$50.00

This is how Humanitix and Eventbrite typically display fees. Recommended for most organisers.

Frequently asked questions

Are free events really free?+
Yes. If you don't charge for tickets, we don't charge you. List unlimited free events with unlimited attendees, no setup fee and no monthly fee.
What does the 4% + 30c cover?+
It covers Stripe payment processing, ticket delivery, the sales dashboard, refunds, the door check-in scanner, attendee support and ongoing platform development. There are no additional setup or monthly fees on top.
Who pays the platform fee, me or the attendee?+
Your choice, set per event. You can absorb the fee (your ticket price is what the attendee pays) or pass it on (the attendee sees a small booking fee added at checkout). Most organisers pass it on, the same way Humanitix and Eventbrite work by default.
When do I get paid?+
Funds settle into your Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule, typically two business days. From there, Stripe pays your bank account automatically. You don't have to wait until after your event.
What about GST?+
Tax invoices are generated automatically for every order. If you're GST registered, you can configure GST handling per event so your invoices show the right amounts.
What about refunds and chargebacks?+
Refunds are one click from your dashboard. Stripe's standard fees apply for processing, and chargebacks follow Stripe's dispute process. We don't charge an extra refund fee on top.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Sales, attendees, payouts and order history all export to CSV. Your data is yours.
Do I need to apply to become an organiser?+
We're onboarding organisers in waves to keep quality high. Submit a quick form on the request access page and we'll usually get back within a few days.
