Come on down to Woden Town and kick off 2027 with the inaugural New Year's Day event! A free, timed five-kilometre event starting from Woden Town Park. Run, jog, walk or volunteer – everyone is welcome.
What better way to start the new year than with some fresh air, exercise and good company? Whether you're setting a New Year's resolution, continuing a long-standing tradition or simply looking for a fun way to start 2027, they'd love to see you!
As many people know, parkrun events operate on Saturday every week of the year. Why is this one different? Because each parkrun is also permitted to operate on two special days – in Australia, those days are Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
This event is particularly special because it's the very first time Woden Town parkrun will be held on New Year's Day!
