About this event

Presented by Canberra by Bike and Pedal Power ACT.

This tour requires a minimum of four guests to proceed.

Learn all about the memorials along Anzac Parade and the northern shoreline of Lake Burley Griffin on this stop-start guided slow ride. Discover who made and designed them, and why.

Stops include memorials to various wars, structures that honour the people who served in them in various ways, memorials to police services, emergency services, workers, and those affected by Thalidomide.

This tour will not visit the Australian War Memorial, but does include many of the memorials which line Anzac Parade.

There are toilets at the halfway point in Commonwealth Park, and also at the end.

Guests must bring their own cycle, sunscreen, a drink bottle, and a bike lock.

Note: This ride features a gentle incline up Anzac Parade, where there is rough, loose gravel in front of several memorials. The route will be mostly on wide, shared paths.
