About this event

In the upcoming exhibition, Land's Edge, two expert ceramicists and friends, Sarah Ormonde and Jo Victoria, present their latest work. Land's Edge explores the meeting point of cliffs and water, soft sand and jagged rock—the coastal fringe that shapes the lives and practices of Sarah and Jo. Bringing together large sentinel forms and delicate porcelain fragments, the exhibition reflects the shifting, dynamic nature of this landscape.

Sarah turns her attention to the headlands, seeking "to be held in the heart of stillness where nothing is still ". While Jo is drawn to the surf "where air meets water, vision and touch become entwined".

Together, Sarah and Jo use the gallery as a space to explore how their distinct practices, grounded in the landscape, can evoke the feeling of standing on a rocky headland, wind and salt against the skin, and to more deeply understand the passage of time revealed by this ever-changing landscape.

Sixty Degrees North: Around the World in Search of Home, Malachy Tallack

The exhibition will be opened by local ceramicist Bev Hogg at a free Preview event 6.00pm Thursday 27 August 2026.
