About this event

Join the artists at the official opening of three new exhibitions at Tuggeranong Arts Centre; Weaving the Coast, Toxic and Chaos and Order. Have a glass of wine with the artists, their friends and people from Canberra's local arts scene. Hear from guest speakers and enjoy the celebratory atmosphere as you browse the artwork in three new exhibitions.

Christaine Keller's exhibition "Weaving the Coast" celebrates the distinctive coastal environment cherished by many Canberrans and demonstrates how waste materials can be transformed into enduring art.

Adelaide Worcester's solo exhibition of sculptural and wall-based works examines bullying and Toxic workplace cultures. Through bold visual storytelling and dark humour, Toxic explores how it feels, and the systems that enable such harm – through complicity, victim blaming, and the gap between policy and practice.

Karen McSwan Silsby's abstract paintings in her exhibition "Chaos and Order" emerge from a deep impulse to impose structure on a world in flux. She confronts the turbulence of personal, political, and environmental crises, fragmenting the chaos with grids and nets, and stitching through the layers of paint, canvas and mixed media to deliberately demonstrate resistance and resilience.
