Join the 2026 Dr Hugh Saddler Memorial Lecture, featuring former ACT Minister, Greens Leader, and long-serving parliamentarian Shane Rattenbury.
Shane will reflect on the ACT's journey from climate ambition to action, becoming the first Australian jurisdiction to transition to 100 per cent renewable electricity. Drawing on his experience at the centre of this transformation, he will explore how power-sharing, political leadership, and community support made ambitious climate policy possible—and what the ACT's success can teach the rest of Australia as it navigates the next phase of the energy transition.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A with Dr Richard Denniss, co-Chief Executive Officer of The Australia Institute.
