About this event

The 2026 Kenneth Myer Lecture will be delivered by Ronni Kahn AO, founder of the leading food rescue charity, OzHarvest, at the National Library of Australia.

Please note the Canberra event will not be livestreamed, and only in-person tickets can be booked.

Ronni will explore the notion that persistent hunger in a wealthy nation is a failure of imagination and will. What does that say about who we are for one another?

This lecture is an opportunity to rethink service in modern Australia, and presents a provocative examination of reciprocity, responsibility and what genuine care for each other looks like at scale.

Complimentary refreshments will be served in the Library Foyer following the presentation.

This lecture will also be presented in Melbourne on 6 August. Only the Melbourne event will be livestreamed.
